| No, not a tip on soap dodging, With your face, it's not so much what you do as what you don't do. Soap is the enemy, at least on the face. I never put soap on my face, and it only gets shampoo on it once a week, and even then not deliberately. Regular soap dries out the oils in your skin, and promotes wrinkles! So don't do it, your face won't smell!!! |

Hi Fred
That isnt the advice I would provide although you are correct in what you say about soaps drying out skin. Soaps are usually too harsh for the skin due to the ph level which is what causing the skin to dry out, and the acid mantle which is the skins natural barrier is temporarily broken down and can lead to skin dehydrations causing premature aging. What I would suggest is to use a cleanser, toner and moisturiser for your skin type as they are made for the face. If soap users feel the need to use soap and water to feel cleansed then the ideal alternative is a facial wash.
Moisturiser should always be worn to rehydrate the skin and provide a barrier against dirt, make up, sun light etc which prevents premature aging of the skin.
Opt for products containing SPF to provide additional protection from the suns harmful rays. _________________ >>>>SITE ADMIN<<<<< |

| Following a bit of bother with a dog resulting in facial surgery a few years ago I was advised to wear a minimum of SPF 35 to reduce darkening of the scar, so I use factor 35 or more as a moisturiser. Other than that, when I wear make up I cleans it off, but never use soap on my face. My mum was obsssesive about washing her face and (no disrespect meant) paid for it in the wrinkle dept. I was 45 in august and have to sya I have been pretty lucky so far, so to be honest I am not going to start using soap on my face now! |
